Virtual desktop managers have become very popular on most operating systems, for users who want to keep multiple projects open at once. Crystal Desktop makes grouping open applications more convenient for the user: one virtual desktop can hold web browser windows, another virtual desktop a music player, and another one a movie. You can switch between the desktops with a mouse click or keystroke (customizable for each virtual desktop).

The unique feature of Crystal Desktop is the taskbar integration, so you can switch to the neccessary desktop with just one click. To make each virtual desktop unique, Crystal Desktop allows setting background images, icons, and even screen resolutions for each desktop. To move windows, users need only to drag and drop, as in Linux/KDE or click a right mouse key on the top of the window and choose the desktop.

No command line configuration is necessary for Crystal Desktop: the program has a clear point-and-click interface and it is completely compatible with Windows 7 32-bit and 64-bit.
